Gibraltar Peak > climbing Gibraltar is a very popular crag that is made up of many granite tors on top of a hill above Tidbinbilla and most routes are single pitch. There's plenty of bolts but its not what you would call a sports crag. Due to the Jan 2003 fires be careful around the base of routes as the granite can be very flaky. Its best to consult the 'ACT Granite' guide to navigate around these boulders and slabs. There is also a few smaller climbing areas down the ridge from Gibraltar. Gibraltar is to the south-west of Canberra off Corin Dam Road. Area overview map
